Cutting

Even though some conventional cutting beds already have a marking function, a high human effort is still required to measure dimensions and remove cut pieces (samples and scrap). Therefore we at RONMAS have developed and built the first fully automatic cutting bed. It has been working reliably at voestalpine in Linz for many years and has the following functions:

• Measurement of the heavy plate 

• Marking with paint (shipping marks and sample marking) 

• Cutting of all sample pieces and scrap pieces 

• Automatic transport of the sample pieces into the sample container 

• Automatic transport of the scrap pieces into the scrap container 

​

The simultaneous operation of two automatic gantries ensures optimal utilisation of capacities.
